Computer technology or Information technology (IT) is a generic name for technologies responsible for storing, transferring, processing, protecting and reproducing information using computers.
Currently, in the field of computer science, the following main sections are usually distinguished:
- algorithms and data structures,
- programming languages,
- computer architecture,
- software development,
- databases and information retrieval systems,
- artificial intelligence and robotics,
- multimedia technologies,
- computer graphics,
- computer networks,
- human-computer interaction, etc.
The subject area of computer science can be broadly divided into two broad subareas.
The first of them includes the study of specific information processing processes and related issues of data presentation.
The second has to do with the structures, mechanisms and schemes of information processing.
To apply the main results of computer science research, you need to have skills in four main areas: algorithmic thinking, information presentation, programming, and system design.
